July, 2025: Ruben Tolosana gives a Keynote in the topic of “Synthetic Data and Foundation Models: Challenges and Opportunities in Security Applications” at 4th International Conference on Computing, IoT and Data Analytics (ICCIDA 2025).
July, 2025: Our proposal, X-TFCLIP, has won the Aerial-Ground Person Re-identification Challenge (AG-VPReID 2025) organized within IEEE International Joint Conference on Biometrics, IJCB 2025. All the details of the AG-VPReID 2025 challenge are publicly available in the corresponding paper.
June, 2025: Our paper “Are Vision-Language Models Ready for Dietary Assessment? Exploring the Next Frontier in AI-Powered Food Image Recognition” received the “Best Paper Award” at the 2nd MetaFood Workshop organized within IEEE/CVF Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Conference, CVPR 2025.
May, 2025: Ruben Tolosana received the “Best Young Researchers Award (2024)” from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (UAM). This award recognises and makes visible the work of young researchers at the UAM for their contribution to scientific development, as well as their national and international visibility as a leading research center.

April, 2025: Aythami Morales co-organizes the “Forum on Artificial Intelligence in Research (FAIR)”, celebrated from April 28th to April 30th 2025 at La Cristalera (Madrid). The aim of the Forum is to provide a clear overview of the key milestones, seminal works, and fundamental mechanisms that have shaped this field.
